FAQ

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is the most abundant non-psychoactive cannabinoid - a class of compounds unique to cannabis - found in the hemp plant.

Why does CBD matter?

The more we learn, the more we realize that CBD really does have the potential to revolutionize medicine. Hundreds of early studies have shown CBD to have medicinal properties that can act as a therapeutic intervention.

What is the ECS?

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a physiologic network of receptors and compounds that helps the body maintain homeostasis throughout the body and regulates processes like pain perception, stress, appetite, gastric motility, etc. What that also means is that our bodies actually produce our very own cannabinoids - termed endocannabinoids. Researchers think the reason cannabis is so healing and wide-reaching is that various ailments, whether fibromyalgia, migraines, or IBS, might actually be the result of a systemic endocannabinoid deficiency. So by supplementing with an external/exogenous sources of cannabinoids, the ECS can get back to running perfectly, thereby correcting the deficiency that might be causing the symptoms or disease.

Is CBD Legal?

While the laws around hemp and cannabis are constantly evolving, our CBD comes from the hemp plant with under .3% THC in accordance with Sec. 7606 of the 2014 Farm Bill. This is considered a trace amount of THC.

Will CBD get me high?

CBD is non-psychoactive, so no - it will not get you high.
